Designer Son Jung Wan successfully showcased her new collection, “THE BEAUTY OF BEING,” on the New York Fashion Week stage for the 2026 S/S season.

Representing Korea, designer Son Jung Wan made history as the first and only Korean designer to participate in New York Fashion Week for the 27th time, continuing her unique vision on the global fashion stage.

The collection, which began with “GOLDEN,” the OST of K-POP Demon Hunters, continues the style from the previous season, focusing on the designer's own thoughts, emotions, and values rather than conforming to others' expectations or views.

Son Jung Wan explores the pure joy of design and the essence of creation, weaving emotions, values, harmony and conflict, and messages of sustainability into a single worldview.

The runway was filled with vibrant and dynamic energy.

Luminous Blue, symbolizing radiance, Jelly Mint, representing recovery and emotional needs, bold Pop Pink, and calming Neutral Ground combined to complete the collection's depth and balance.

The use of various materials was also noteworthy. Pink tweed and patent expressed bold self-expression, while mint sequins symbolized digital sensibility and futuristic identity.

Lace and handmade embroidery captured the designer's identity and ongoing narrative, while organza and chiffon created an experimental and original mood with their flowing, natural silhouettes.

This collection was graced by Son Jung Wan's eternal muse, Kelly Rutherford, who lit up the front row, while her son Hermes debuted as a runway model, adding a special touch to the collection.

Stylist June Ambrose, who works with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, actress and singer-songwriter India de Beaufort, and many other celebrities attended, along with buyers from Dover Street Market, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue, preparing for next season's buying. The collection also drew significant attention from both domestic and international press, including Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Allure, W, Marie Claire, and The New York Times.
